Read the poem "Scavenger Hunt."

1. A day at the park
2. Is just what we need!
3. Grassy sofas, leafy cushions,
4. Tall bark recliners,
5. Warm granite footstools,
6. Red flower carpets,
7. And glassy pond rugs, blue and white.

8. But when we arrive
9. Lazy guests
10. With manners like rats,
11. Have left their foul tracks
12. For somebody else.

13. “Yuck!” my brothers say,
14. Their faces falling
15. In total disgust at the mess.
16. Punting paper plates,
17. I say, “Chill out, guys.
18. We can pick it up.
19. We’ll play a treasure-hunting game.”

20. A scavenger hunt,
21. Willing kids
22. With trash bags and gloves,
23. Committed warriors
24. Ready for battle.
